LOGARITHM

Logarithm is a number that shows how many times a base number is multiplied by it self to produce a third number.

Ex, Write the following indices into logarithm form

(a) 3² = 9 = log₃ 9 = 2

(b) 5³ = 125 = log₅ 125 = 3

Ex, Write the following logarithm into indices form

(a) log₂ 8 = 3

      =2³ = 8

(b) log₃ 27 = 3

       3³ = 27
